About Honey

My name is Honey - and I am as sweet as my name indicates and the color of golden honey. I am about 3 years old and about 48 pounds. I was rescued with my 2 puppies. They have both been adopted and now it's my turn. I seem to be housebroken and I like my crate. Even though I am non destructive if left alone, I like to go in my crate to rest. I feel safe there. My foster mom leaves the door to it open, but I still like to go in sometimes. I am pretty low key gal. I like to lay around where my person is. I don't pull on a leash, but need confidence to walk. A fenced in yard would be great since I am a little shy with leash walking. I have 2 children in my foster home and am great with them. I am unsure about other dogs and will probably need to be an only dog. If you have another dog, a meet and greet would be required. Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
