Meet Papi Chullo AKA Fat Boy Fat boy is looking for his new home! 4 year old, housebroken, crate trained, he is blind but as you can see you would almost never know. He navigates his surroundings well and if you say his name he follows the sound to come right to you! Super obedient. About the most obedient dog I have here! He is kid friendly and doesn't meet a stranger! Not your typical Chihuahua attitude. Only barks when he's playing, otherwise he's just enjoying the sunshine and playing with his friends. ? History: Papi Chullo was found as a stray and brought to the Long County Pound while suffering from a severe head trauma. However, 'head trauma' is an understatement because both of his lenses are detached from his eyeballs. One look at Papi Chullo and rescuers at South Georgia Equine dropped everything they were doing to bring him into their loving care. When they first laid eyes on him, they had never seen anything like it. His bulging eye is shifted forward causing an immense amount of pressure, which is why it's bulging, and the other lens is shifted back. Papi Chullo cannot see at this point, and unfortunately, the vet doesn't believe anything can be done. But, rescuers would like to exhaust all options and have him evaluated by an eye doctor. Papi Chullo's consult is on September 7th, so rescuers are hoping to have an answer and treatment plan after that. As for now, this sweet boy is safe and resting comfortably in his foster home. While Papi Chullo is adjusting to being blind, he has been nothing but incredibly sweet and loving.
