About Shaq 'n Shakira

Thanks!!**** Shaq and Shakira are a bonded pair of Miniature Pinschers. Actually, his name was Chocolate so we sort of shortened it to 'Shaq'--just a little easier to say! Either way, they are both simply adorable. They are brother and sister and have lived with the same family, and each other for most of their lives so they truly need to stay together. They are 6 years old. The family that originally had Shaq and Shakira must have loved them, they are both very sweet once they get past a little nervousness. According to the family the pair were not socialized with other dogs or people outside of the family home. So-to end up in the shelter/rescue situation is a little stressful for them to say the least. But, they are handling it like little champs. They are easily won over with treats(little chow hounds!!) and settled in with the other dogs in their foster home the first day. There were a few little grumbles, but they are fine now and seem comfortable with our little crew. Shaq and Shakira are very well mannered, peaceful and totally housebroken. They would be fine with kids, but little ones may be too much energy for these two. They are looking for a more laid back home, adults and older kids would be best, retiree's that would like a couple of laid back companions would be awesome! Shaq is the boy and has more upright ears, whereas Shakira's ears are down. They are about the same size, right about 18 pounds. The adoption fee for Shaq and Shakira is $350/pair.
