About Melanie, aka Mel-Mel

This girl was 45 min away from being euthanized ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD, she was not treated well in life and was used for breeding and we know what happens when they are 'all used up'...they end up at the shelter. YUP, people keep buying those puppies off Craigslist, and dogs like Melanie will still continue to be put through hell. Thank goodness for rescues, since being in Crazy4Pawz Animal Rescue, she has had her medical taken care of��%BD��%BD%BD'��%BD��%BD%BD| biopsies of her pancreas, stomach, and intestines along with her spay and all look good! 30 days she was in and out of the hospital. This Tuesday, 11/30/21 she goes in for a much-needed dental ��%BD��%BD%BD��%BD��%BD%BD|��%BD��%BD%BD, we had to wait until she gained weight and was healthy enough to put her under anesthesia again. In the meantime, we have been getting to know her and vise versa. She LOVES walks and could cuddle for days. Since she was neglected, everything is new and scary to her, even a floor mat or shadow she is cautious to be around. Mel-Mel is slowly overcoming her fears, and we are looking for an adopter that can love her as we do. She is in foster care with other dogs and is trying to learn how to play, right now Tank (4 mo old dog) is trying to show her how to have fun and live life. Melanie has been through a lot and it is going to take a patient, loving, caring adopter to help her adjust to life. Melanie is about 7 yr old, 42lbs and would make a great companion for the right person/family. She is spayed, current on vaccines, and microchipped. Her adoption comes with food for transitioning her over, Max & Neo Collar & Leash, Harness, Blanket, and Treats. The rescue has spent $2,600 on her medical/dental care to get her ready for a home.
