About Pecan

Dachshund mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Pecan!! The puppies mom(Cashew) is a beautiful yet odd looking small mix breed. She most resembles a Dachshund mix with her low long body but there's likely many more breeds mixed in. She's full grown at only 22 pounds. She looks a lot bigger in the photos than she really is. The puppies dad is completely unknown. Pecan is 9 weeks old. She weighs 9 pounds. We are unsure of the breed mix so the size full grown is a guess. Best guess she will be medium size. PECAN - Fairly snuggly once she's done playing out all her energy. She loves playing with balls, ropes and all toys. She also seems more submissive so far but that can change once her siblings aren't around. She is currently very active, happy, and playful. She is fostered with dogs of all sizes and doing great. She has also been well loved and played with by the kid in their foster home. She enjoys to be held and cuddle at times but isnt really a 'lap dog'. She is doing great learning new things and is very well adjusted. Pecan is extremely social. She loves people, toys and bones. She is also very vocal and loud at times so no apartments please. Pecan loves to go outside with you to explore and play. She has a higher energy level and will likely need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep her happy and out of trouble. So far she has just begun to learn about leashes and potty training. She is also working on crate training but needs a lot more training with everything. She's done good on car rides so far. Pecan will get several sets of vaccines, a microchip and spay as part of her adoption. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your families lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google 'littermate syndrome' so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies. Vet and home checks required. No apartments Located in Hampton VA. (She will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) 'IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING READ BELOW ' Please message [email protected] directly with questions or to get an application.
