About Walnut

Dachshund mix
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Walnut!! The puppies mom(Cashew) is a beautiful yet odd looking small mix breed. She most resembles a Dachshund mix with her low long body but there's likely many more breeds mixed in. She's full grown at only 22 pounds. She looks a lot bigger in the photos than she really is. The puppies dad is completely unknown. Walnut is 9 weeks old. He weighs 9 pounds. We are unsure of the breed mix so the size full grown is a guess. Best guess he will be medium size. WALNUT- he's the wild but fun one! Mr Personality. An outgoing, ball of energy, hes game for anything and also likes playing in water. If you want a super fun dog to do everything with you then he's the one. He is currently very active, happy, and playful. He is fostered with dogs of all sizes and doing great. He has also been well loved and played with by the kid in their foster home. He enjoys to be held and cuddle at times but isnt really a 'lap dog'. He is doing great learning new things and is very well adjusted. Walnut is extremely social. He loves people, toys and bones. He is also very vocal and loud at times so no apartments please. Walnut loves to go outside with you to explore and play. He has a higher energy level and will likely need lots of physical and mental stimulation to keep him happy and out of trouble. So far he has just begun to learn about leashes and potty training. He is also working on crate training but needs a lot more training with everything. He's done good on car rides so far. Walnut will get several sets of vaccines, a microchip and neuter as part of his adoption. Adopting a young puppy is a ton of work. They will have lots of potty accidents, chew things up etc. You will need to help them learn things like leash walking, crate training and basic manners. It can be a lot of work but the reward is a dog that fits well into your families lifestyle if you invest proper time on training with them. Please carefully consider the time and effort a puppy requires before adopting. We do NOT adopt siblings into the same family. Before commenting on how sad etc, you feel that is please google 'littermate syndrome' so you can understand why we take this precaution. It is done in the best interest of the puppies. Vet and home checks required. No apartments Located in Hampton VA. (He will need to be adopted within a 1 hour drive radius) 'IF INTERESTED IN ADOPTING READ BELOW ' Please message [email protected] directly with questions or to get an application.
