Juaquine came to us after spending most of his life outside with other cats and dogs. He feels so much more comfortable around them and will need at least a dog or cat to keep him company in his forever home. Juaquine is very timid at first when meeting new people. He is slower to warm up but once he trusts you, he loves attention and gentle pets. He does get scared of fast movements and loud noises and would do best in a calm household with a mature, dog savvy family. Juaquine has a couple medical conditions that his forever family needs to know about and stay on top of. First, he gets seasonal allergies and will need to treat symptoms as they appear. Second, he has a 4/6 heart murmur, at this time he is not in heart failure and does not need medication, but he will need his heart checked at least once a year. Lastly, he has a severe collapsed trachea, this will also need to be monitored and treated symptomatically. It is important he is only walked with a harness and not pulled on his neck. He also may need cough suppressants to help his trachea. Juaquine really is such a sweet boy, he is housebroken as long as you go outside with him. He loves to be near his people when he knows them and will quickly become your little shadow.
