About Felicity

Introducing Felicity! Felicity is a 5 year old Jack Russell Terrier. She appears to be fully potty trained and is doing excellent with her crate training. Felicity came into foster care heavily overweight but has been excelling in her weight loss journey. Every day she gets closer and closer to her goal weight. Felicity is heartworm positive and is being treated. Her primary goals in life are to love and be loved. She makes you feel cherished and adored in every waking moment she's with you. She is extremely people oriented and gets along with everybody she meets. She has a contagious smile and happy energy that makes it so it's impossible to be in a rotten mood around her. Her excitability towards love and joy is so infectious you can't help but lose yourself in her positive energy. She is a lap dog to the extreme as she loves to cuddle for as long as you'll let her. She would be great for somebody who takes mental comfort in having a dog in their lap to pet and be with. She sleeps in the bed with her people and just wants to be close to those she loves. She would be ideal in a home where somebody is always around to spend time with her, maybe because they are retired or a homemaker. When she is out of sight from her people it upsets her and she weeps for them. For this reason, we would not recommend her for apartment living as she may be disruptive to neighbors. Her desire is to be a constant companion for somebody who enjoys her company. She wants to be involved and be an active member of the family. She rides well in the car and enjoys adventures. She is a family dog who would be a big hit at parties due to her sweet nature. She has not been kid tested but as long as they are sweet and gentle with her we have no reason to believe she wouldn't want a family with kids. Felicity is dog friendly with every breed and age she's met, big and small. She was separated from her dog sister and is used to having another dog with her but we feel strongly that she would adapt to a home without other pets where she doesn't have to compete for affection and attention, or in a home that does have multiple pets but will still make time for her. She has not been cat tested. Felicity is laid back and adaptable. She is so very easy to fall in love with and is an ultimate good girl who just wants to please. You would hit the jackpot with her should you choose to adopt her. Felicity is with Texas Star Rescue in Longview, TX. Meet n greets are scheduled with approved adopters.
