About Lorenzo

Lorenzo, Enzo for short, is a healthy 5-year-old chocolate and tan longhaired chihuahua who is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Lorenzo does well with dogs and cats but has not been tested around children. He is shy at first, warms up very quickly to you, and will make it very clear that you are best friends. He is the perfect little shadow. He is quicker to warm up to females than he is to males. Lorenzo was found as stray, and his history is unknown. It is clear that he has lived in a home before and was well loved. He gives clear signals regarding wanted to be picked up and very much likes being close to his human at all times. He lets out small yelps when foster mommy briefly goes into another room. He gives clear signals of a quiet growl when he is uncomfortable and resorts to a crate or a corner. He does not bite or lunge. He is not much of a barker. He appears to be potty trained, as he has not fully peed or pooped in the house. He does not ask to go out but will hold it. He likes to mark his territory outside and on occasion in the home as well, but he was only recently neutered, so this should dissipate in time. He marks immediately upon returning back inside and once he is told 'no', he does not continue. He is a great companion dog and would do great with someone who is home more often than not. He does well with being left home alone, as well, and does not chew items or potty inside. He also does great in his crate. He is a true love bug and deserves the best forever home.
