About Ernie

Ernie is a good looking Lab/Chessie mix. We think he is approx. 4 years old and is about 80 lbs. His personality is more Chesapeake than typical Lab. It takes him awhile to accept strangers and new dogs. He needs a home with no small children (under 12 years old) as we don't know if he has lived with small children previously. He also should not be adopted by a first time dog owner. He needs someone who will be patient with him and continue his training. His previous owner only had him for 3 months but worked extensively with a trainer for obedience training. Sadly she had to surrender him to the Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue due to her housing situation. He is a very smart dog and would like to have a job! Could you be Ernie's Person?
