About Georgina & Sirabi

Adoption Fee: 100.00
Bengal
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

Georgina and Sirabi have been together since Georgie was a kitten, so they cannot be separated. They love being together and playing together. In the winter, when it is cool in the house, they sleep together and groom each other. Sirabi does not like other cats and neither of them like dogs (they are very afraid of them.) Georgina (Georgie) is a 6 year old snow lynx bengal with papers. She is very friendly after she gets to know you and loves to have her head rubbed. She will butt you with her head until you give her the rubbing that she wants (which can last a long time). She is playful -- lasers are her favorite, but she also plays with a fuzzy, interactive wand. She will meow when she smells you getting her food ready. She loves to cuddle up beside you when you are under a blanket and will knead it with her feet. When company is over, she will most likely disappear until they leave. She loves to be up high, often sleeping at the top of the cat tree. Sirabi is an 8 year old brown spotted bengal. We were told that she was a purebred, but the breeder failed to follow through with giving us papers after she was spayed. Sirabi is very friendly, especially with guests, loving to have her belly rubbed. She likes to play fetch with marbles and occasionally likes to play with a fuzzy cat wand. She is not fond of other cats (except Georgina) who she will play with sometimes. She will growl and hiss at dogs and keep her distance from them. She loves treats and will beg for them if she encounters you in the kitchen. She loves to drink water from the faucet. Both cats eat dry and wet food daily and enjoy an occasional treat of canned tuna. Neither are fed people food. Because they are 100% indoor cats, we have not had them vaccinated the past 3 years. They have both tested negative for feline leukemia and are both spayed. There are issues with either one or both of them marking/urinating in corners, on wood floors and carpeting. This may be due to the fact there have been various animals in the house over the past 40 years and there are lots of leftover smells. On occasion there has been poop outside the litter box. We love the cats and hate to part with them, but as we are nearing retirement, we are starting to travel extensively in our camper with the intention of eventually going fulltime. We tried to take the cats with us, but they did not adjust and we had major urination issues with them in the camper. We anticipate there will be adjustment issues with rehoming them. The new owner will have to give them LOTS of attention -- affection and playing with them -- as well have a lot of patience with them as they adjust to their new home. They will do best with someone home the majority of the time. Someone with experience dealing with cat behavioral issues would be ideal.
