About TOP DOG....

GEMMA has been with us at our house for the past few months and I have to say she is the most lovable dog I have had for a very long time. Need very patient and understanding adopter. DNA was done on Gemma. She is a mix between a Husky and Germain shepherd- Needs an other medium to large dog male preferably. She does good with puppies male and female as well. She is shy with people at first. Gemma is only 9 months old and was brought to the shelter after her owner was moving- When she arrived there she was ok in the arms of her owner but when she realized she was going to a scary place she lost it and could not handle it. She stayed 2 weeks in her kennel petrified and barking in despair. When I went to see her it was so sad to see her yapping, it was like she was in pain with one paw up. She was going to be put down and I am so glad I saw her that day. There was something about Gemma. We tracked down her former owner and they sent me pictures and I could see she had potential. I have her in my house with my 3 other dogs and she is a good girl. She would attach very easily. She will need some time to adapt to all the people in the house. My daughter is with me and she does sit down on the floor and Gemma will come running with her tail wagging but will still bark. it will take a few days for her to get used to her presence. Just need to work with her and willing to help her. She goes to the dog park. She would rather be with her pack. Need a fenced yard. Gemma loves to explore. She sleeps in the crate at night only, during the day she is with my pack and goes in and out of the house to the yard and goes potty there.
