These four Munchkins are not puppies. They range in age from 3 years to 8 years, and you can be certain that they have not experienced kindness and compassion in their lives. They were dumped in the shelter on October 5, and the fear and sadness they continue to exhibit is heartbreaking for those of us trying to comfort them and gain their trust. It's likely that, because they're small and cute, people will want to adopt them. But these Munchkins are potential fear biters, they have not been socialized nor trained to walk on leash, and there's no telling how long it might take for them to decompress in a home. They need someone who has experience with these types of issues. And they should probably be kept in pairs, with the two females staying together and the two males staying together. They are very bonded. A rescue would probably be the best option, because most have fosters to work with them, and because most do home-checks. They are at the East Valley Animal Shelter, Van Nuys, CA. Females: #A2002502 PETRA (3-years-old) #A2002498 TIGRE (5-years-old) Males: #A2002497 JUANITO (4-years-old) #A2002504 NEGRITO (8-years-old) Please don't keep them waiting much longer to know joy and love.
