About Skyler

Adoption Fee: $475
Boxer / Collie
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Skyler is an adorable, outgoing, social, curious, and very playful little pup looking for her forever home. This adorable girl was rescued from an overburdened animal control facility in rural eastern Kentucky with eight littermates (Simon, Scotch, Scooby, Salem, Sundae, Sugar, and Scarlet). We do not know what type of dogs her parents were, but it appears there is some Boxer and possibly Collie or Australian Shepherd in their lineage. Their breed mix is an educated guess, but we know for sure these pups are 100% adorable and 1,000% sweetness! Skyler is approximately 12 weeks old (10/14) and weighs around 14 pounds. Given her current age and weight, we expect she will be a medium to a larger-sized dog when fully grown, probably somewhere in the 45-60 pound range. Skyler loves making new friends and loves to play! She will thrive in an active household with the time and energy to keep up with a young, working breed pup! Boxers and Collies are brilliant and energetic dogs that do best in homes that provide plenty of daily mental and physical stimulation. Skyler is working on her crate training and housebreaking and is doing very well when kept on a regular schedule. Please keep in mind that puppies this age need frequent potty breaks (every 3-4 hours) and lots of playtime during the day for the next several months, so please consider if you truly have the time for a puppy before applying. Skyler's adoption fee to the rescue is $475. This fee helps to cover her spay and other costs associated with preparing her for adoption. She is up-to-date with age-appropriate vaccines, is microchipped, and is taking monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Skyler is ready and anxious to go home today! 'ۢ Skyler is in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment only after an application has been received and approved.
