About Mikey

Prepare for your heart to melt... meet Mikey! Handsome Mikey was recently rescued from a local shelter and is currently in a foster home with his sister Jubilee, where they are learning how to be the best dogs they can be! Do you like having a shadow? Because Mikey loves being alongside his human! Mikey's foster mom reports that one of his favorite things to do is give kisses, cuddle and swim in the pool. Mikey is also a fan of the garden hose and is good at getting the water coming out of the hose! Mikey is only a year and a half old, so he's been working on his skills and has learned 'sit'. He will be looking to his adoptive family to continue his training but luckily, he's a quick learner. Mikey is also crate and potty trained, so he won't ruin any family heirlooms. Since Mikey has a lot of energy and is excitable, he would do best in a home without small children and with an active family who wants to include him in all the family plans and trips. Mikey does well with other dogs, but he does like to be the alpha. As with all new dogs in a home, proper introductions to any other dogs and an adjustment time will be necessary (separate and secure feeding spaces for mealtimes etc.). Mikey has yet to meet a cat, so we are unsure of his feelings towards felines. Mikey loves to sniff and explore, but he can be timid at first, but he just needs time to adjust. We can't wait for Mikey to find his loving family who wants to share their life with him and feel the never-ending love in return from this sweet boy.
