About Patrick

Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

In foster in Lacey, WA Patrick is a sweet loving male 5 mos old 30 lb Lab Retriever mix. He will be a medium sized dog as an adult. He is an energetic, affectionate pup that likes other dogs and pups and cats. He is a great companion for an active family with a secure fence, children over 6 years of age and another dog. Dog experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog. He will like walks, car rides, toys and dog beds. He will require daily walks and dog training once he has all his shots. No apartments! You can contact us directly at [email protected] or fill out and application at https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/ We would love to help you find a perfect fur kid, but we need more information. If you would fill out the application we will have everything we need to proceed. Filling out the application is not a commitment to adopt...it's more like an information sheet. This is a posting for L & S Dog Diggity Rescue. You can fill out and application below. Yes you must COPY and PASTE this application link. https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application-ls-dog-diggity/ He has learned to sit on command...if he thinks he'll get a reward. He has also gotten more familiar with 'No' and 'Unh-uh', and usually stops whatever nonsense he's up to. He has learned to be so good with the chickens that I took a risk last night, and let him come off-leash while I locked up the coop for the night. There were no problems at all - he behaved perfectly. I'm still not taking him off-leash while the chickens are out and about...but he definitely has potential to be considered safe with chickens. He continues to be good with the kitten, too and our cat. He is not ever aggressive - just big and and a little too playful sometimes. Patrick is obviously bright, highly motivated by praise and treats, and could really blossom with some training. (This is the sort of dog that could POSSIBLY (no guarantees???) even handle specialized training, like guide dog or medical alert or something like that.) .
