About Tuxie Boo

Tuxie Boo (~DOB 2017) is a short-haired tuxedo neutered male cat. Tuxie was certainly someone's pet cat at one time, no doubt. He was living outside in Zion in spring 2021 when his caretaker died so Tuxie crossed the street to a Spay and Stay colony. That person noticed how torn up he was behind the ears so she asked if Tuxie could get medical care and neutered at the same appointment. The attending vet noticed that terrible infections has developed behind both ears from scratching at double ear infections. He had dug so deep that that he earned the nickname 'Pothole' for a while. The attending vet asked the caretaker if Tuxie could just stay at the clinic instead of being released back outside. His ears really needed some TLC that the clinic could provide. The whole staff loves him because he's such a sweetheart. He comes in for hugs and kisses by putting his front paws on either side of a person's neck and then pushes his nose in for kisses and head bumps. The staff would like to keep Tuxie for an office cat but there are already three other cats on hand. Tuxie is good with the other cats and sees/hears lots of dog patients so he might be good with a respectful dog. The skin behind his ears is still healing so he has betagen spray (included in adoption) applied twice a day now that he's out of the cone of shame. The spray is only needed until he's fully healed.
