Dierks! Dierks, affectionately referred to as Dierkus by his foster mom, is a 1.5-year-old Boxer mix. Dierks was surrendered by a family that adopted him as a young puppy. Unfortunately, in this home, Dierks didn't have the best life and spent very little time socializing and being loved. His abandonment issues ran deep. Dierks spent months in his foster home working on his socialization, trust, and anxiety. He's come so, so far. He was finally ready for a board and train program to put the finishing touches on his social skills. While in training, we discovered just how social Dierks really is! He enjoys playing with dog friends (he prefers them to be on the larger side) and enjoys the interaction and attention of his humans. He's very smart, eager to please, and learns quickly! Dierks is approx 86 lbs, so he's a big, goofy, guy! He's house trained and will thrive in a home with a structured routine and humans that are home often.
