About Lily

Pit Bull mix
Age: Adult
Sex: Female

We adopted Lily four years ago from Weber County Animal Services. She was already two, so she's between five and six years old. Lily is very sweet with people, never hurt or bit anyone. She's even had nannies when we went on trips, and she didn't know them beforehand. She is not great with other dogs she doesn't know, but she warms up to them quickly, although supervision is very strongly suggested. Even when she is hostile to another dog, she will warm up to it after a few minutes of being in close proximity. Our main issue with Lily is that she has strong anxiety when it comes to loud noises. We finally started keeping her in a steel crate (you can have it - see picture. This was $300 on Amazon, but I'll give it to you if it helps you keep Lily safe), but it's way too big for our tiny house.. I am sure she will do even better with more regular prescribed anxiety meds than the ones we have for her, which are the ones she's supposed to take before a stressful event. Overall, I would say she's an amazingly sweet dog 98 % of the time, and the rest of the time, if you are home with her during a storm of fireworks, she will be OK, and if not, she will be OK in her crate.
