About Charlie

This German Shepherd is 10 months going to be 11 this month. Story: I took them in from family members that was not taking good care of him. I had a bigger backyard and was able to take him in. He was not socialize at an early age as much due to not knowing how to since I took him in from a family member. He had board and trained but is still lacking socialization. The board and train used only positive reinforcement. It works awesome with time since he is still young and learning. I am unable to keep him due to not having the time and I am in financial crisis because of the amount I spent on his board and trained. I had to take time off work but it is taking a toll on my life due to not being able to pay for bills since he needs my attention. I prefer to have him go to a person or family that shows him love and get him out of the fear stage in a positive method. Good things about him is he is a gentle giant that loves to play ball. He is great with small dogs. He walks great on leash with just his regular collar but is reactive to dogs sometimes but he easily listens. He is potty trained inside and outside. He is okay with chickens roaming around as long he is being supervised in the beginning. I can see him be great with a family when introduce slowly that shows him lots of love and praise. He has no bite history at all. Things that needs to be worked on: He is nervous and fearful when meeting new people; however, it takes seconds to warm up to you. He is not great with big dogs and he screams and runs away. He has not been exposed to kids much but in the past he has which he is good. I dont know how he will be now if there are kids.
