About Fritz

Fritz is an extremely intelligent, lively and loyal 3-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He needs a good home with a large, fenced yard or farm or acreage. He would love the camaraderie of living with other dog(s) and cats. An ideal situation would be where he could roam in his own large backyard/land without having to go out on daily walks. He is not meant to be a city dog, is territorial of his house and family, and has some leash aggression. He is an excellent watch dog and he would thrive in the country. He would be an ideal working dog, part of a larger pack. Fritz is also the best companion a family could ever ask for. He adores his family, loves to snuggle, and needs a lot of attention. He will loyally return your love ten-fold. We are having to rehome him because our family is growing and he is having a hard time adjusting to the changes-his protective instincts are increasing as our family gets larger and his behavioral issues are becoming more prominent. In the right situation this would be less of an issue, but in the city, he seems to be over stimulated. He has nipped people a few times and is skeptical of strangers. We do not have a sufficient backyard for him and we live in the city. He is healthy, neutered and current on all shots. In order to ensure you are the right forever home, you must be willing for us to come out to your house and see your situation to see if Fritz is a good fit.
