About Tux

Siberian Husky
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

Meet Tux, who was formerly known as Lubbock. This boy is just a big puppy! Estimated at just over a year old, he is both hyper and energetic in true young husky form. He has unfortunately had absolutely no training and was originally found as a stray tied up outside a CVS. Tux came to us not evening knowing 'sit' - which his fosters have since taught him. His fosters have been working with him and he now knows his new name as well. He loves going on runs and bike rides and this is going to be very important for him as he adapts to life outside the shelter. He is a chewer so toys are a must. He doesn't love to be in the kennel and barks at first but then quiets down - consistency will be needed in kennel training moving forward since it seems likely this was never done. He gets VERY worked up in play and is a mouthy boy - he can get worked up to the point of breaking skin, but again this is something we have been working on. He has learned 'no' and 'hey' also grabs his attention. He has NEVER broken skin with the intention of biting / harming / aggression. Because of this we do not recommend children in the home - he needs to be with breed-experienced adult owners who are prepared for the work that comes with a young, energetic guy! For the right adopter, we expect he will be very rewarding! He let us dress him right up for pics with no resistance! Apply to adopt Tux today!
