Courtesy Posting: FRIENDLY CHOW GOLDEN RETRIEVER LOOKING BOY, APPROX 8 YRS YOUNG, ENJOYS CALM DOGS, LOOKING FOR HIS FOREVER HOME NOW - CURRENTLY IN ORANGE COUNTY, SO CAL BEAR Orange County, So Cal Meet Bear, a friendly and adorable guy who resembles a chow and golden retriever mix and is estimated to be 8 years young. The poor guy was found as a stray with a skin condition for which he has already been treated and his fur is growing back fluffy. We think Bear likely was an outside-only dog in his previous life. He really enjoys the yard at his foster home, and makes great use of the doggy door to head out there frequently. Bear gets along with other calm dogs and currently weighs 63 lb but could gain a few extra lbs. He is a real sweetheart who loves to give kisses but won't crowd you. He isn't interested in getting on the furniture but likes lying in his dog bed -- or, again, outside, weather permitting. He's a dear, dear boy who needs a chance to learn to be a happy dog in a happy home. We don't think he's ever had that chance. Although he likes being outside, he must go to a home with a secure yard where he will be inside most of the time, and he must sleep indoors. No more outside-only life for Bear!
