Bio: Meet Ester! This petite and pretty princess came to us from local animal control after her owner passed away. Ester is very sweet. She loves adults and kids and wants to be right in the middle of all the people all the time. It is obvious she was someone's family dog. She prefers couches and human beds and thinks refined ladies should not be out in the rain at any time. Ester is energetic and athletic - all appropriate for her young age. She likes squeak toys, loves attention, and fetch is her favorite f-word. She will gladly chase tennis balls and even bring them back to you for another toss. Ester is good on leash, easily motivated by food (aren't we all?!), and appears house-trained. She is easy when medicine is required and would probably love obedience classes. Ester can climb counters and tables and walk on hind legs to quietly counter surf. She will also shamelessly get snacks from the pantry, so gates could be helpful at first. Ester has a history of living with children and is living with young kids in her foster home. She loves her 2-legged foster siblings and will take turns laying in their rooms for book reading to spread her magical love throughout the household. She seems to be gentler with them when taking toys than she is with an adult. Ester is truly a people person. She is excited to host friends, either adult or pint-sized. Ester did well on her dog test at the shelter, but is living as an only dog in her foster home. She gets excited when seeing another dog and we predict a lot of hard play, so a resident canine wallflower wouldn't be the best match. She is most definitely a serious chipmunk hunter (and very dedicated to her craft), but we aren't sure if this would translate to other small animals in a household. This light-hearted and lovely gal will make a great family addition
