About Sugar

Sugar is a 70-pound, solid white with just a little bit of tan shade on her back, Lab mix. Sugar was dumped at an animal hospital pregnant with a prolapsed Uterus. She delivered 5 puppies via Cesarian. Two of the puppies died but three did survive and have since been adopted. Sugar has since recovered and spayed. The vet kept Sugar as long as they could but eventually had to surrender her to the County Animal Shelter. One of the families that had adopted one of her puppies went and got her as soon as they heard she was surrendered and contacted us to help her. Sugar is a super sweet dog. She loves to lay on the couch and snuggle. She is also young and with energy, so she loves to be walked and she also enjoys playing fetch. Sugar definitely prefers to be an inside dog with outdoor activities. While at the Vet Clinic they said she played with other dogs without any issues. She does great when encountering other dogs on a walk and pretty much ignores them. She is around a cat, she does fine with, but the cat not so much, so definitely would need to be around one that is used to playing with dogs. Sugar would enjoy a forever home that will allow her to participate in family activities whether it's watching a movie on the sofa or going on an outing. Sugar has been fully medically vetted; spayed, up-to-date on all vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and will be microchipped before going to her forever home.
