'Redhead seeks avid soccer player as new best friend!' *** Remy is a fun, sassy, young girl who is 3 years old and has lots of the herding breeds' personality, quirks, and intelligence. She loves to play - especially with those soccer balls, use her brain, and have adventures. Car rides and camping are activities she enjoys a lot. She is an active girl and needs regular exercise but she is not hyper. If you are familiar with herding breeds you know the dog we are describing! If you do not then she is not the dog to learn from since she needs experienced handling. *** Food is a great motivator and reward for Remy and she is a fast learner; she knows sit and down and is learning to spin, touch, shake, and jump through a hoola hoop. Her manners are... improving with practice. She is also a wonderful teacher and can help the whole family learn not to leave food on the counter! It helps that she is athletic, too. *** Remy does very well with kids, especially if they are willing to play ball with her. *** She is generally fine with other dogs and has lived in multi-dog household including her current foster home. She doesn't look for fights but she also doesn't let the others be mean or disrespectful without recourse. When it comes to cats she is fine with them if they don't run; she ignores or avoids them. Cats who are aggressive towards her are avoided, too; she makes no eye contact, turns away, and may leave the room. *** A DNA test was done and showed roughly %BC border collie, %BC Labrador retriever, 1/5 Australian shepherd, 1/5 Australian cattle dog, and the rest mostly other herding breeds. *** Remy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.
