About Amelia

My husband and I found Amelia near the Colorado River in Columbus, TX while fishing on Saturday, 9/25/21. She was very sweet and did not have a collar, also looked well fed - so, we assumed she had an owner. We took her to the vet and she is in fact chipped. But, we found out from the vet that the owner had surrendered her as he was no longer able to care for her the way he felt she deserved. He is the one who told us her name is Amelia. She is very sweet, and good with our two smaller dogs. However, we feel as though she needs to be in a home with other big dogs or at least at a house with a decent size yard for her to use her energy! She knows how to sit, and has not had an accident in our house. But, she does need some extra attention (at least at first) to work on some other manners! Our two dogs are also both very set in their ways and are not too fond of Amelia. Please adopt this sweet girl, or reach out if you know of anyone who might want her!
