He's a good dog. Will be ten at the end of November. I had lived in a home up to 2018 and then moved into a mobile home park. The park has a leash rule. I never had to leash him at my house. He's good to go on hikes with, stay within calling distances and comes when called. He's very loyal. Thunder and fireworks make him a little nervous but responds well to me talking to him (you know the puppy voice). He doesn't bark much, only for the UPS man, someone at the door, etc. He has been extremely good with my Grandson. Would even not bark at the UPS man if I reminded him the baby is sleeping. Not sure he'd attack a robber, but he'll let you know one is there. The picture is from 2015 (only cause that's what I had on my computer), I can share more. I have health conditions and find myself away from the home 2-3 days at a time and can no longer afford kennel fees. He needs a bigger home (I'm in a mobile home) and a yard he can run in. He even poops in the the wooded areas, not in the middle of the yard. Very clean, has never had an accident in the house. He has when he was at my son's house but that is because they'd forget to let him out. He can stay home alone all day. He's AKC and microchipped.
