About Tinkerbell

Adoption Fee: $600
Chihuahua
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

This bonded pair's adoption is pending. Fee is for a bonded pair Chihuahua (female) and Dachshund (male). Please see Scooter's page to read about him also. Please do not acquire these two because you want one but plan to separate them! Tinkerbell is a blond Chihuahua about 8 pounds. She is about 17 months. She and Scooter are both CKC. Tinkerbell has a lot of energy and she runs incredibly fast, kind of like a Greyhound. She and Scooter play chase outside (so they need a well fenced yard) and it's hilarious. She let's him think he can catch her and when he gets close, she punches in the turbo and leaves poor Scooter in the dust. Tinkerbell would be good in agility or learning tricks. She picks up things very quickly though her hilarious head tilting will make you think she has no idea what you want. She knows sit, lay down and wait and is house trained but I let them both out frequently, just to be sure there aren't any accidents. She loves her kennel and sometimes just wants a little privacy in there. She is good for up to 5 hours in it during the day and goes all night with no problem. She is also wee wee pad trained. Tinkerbell is super excited about people and kids, this means she might seem like she's nipping at their fingers or toes, but she isn't. She tries to hold onto you is all and she is getting calmer about this. She will jump up on people and kids and we are trying to break this habit. She just gets so excited! I have grandchildren at my house often and none of them has ever been bit by either dog. Tinkerbell's dream home would be a 30 something who works at home and is willing to take them everywhere they go. They also must want both dogs and have had both breeds at some time in their past so they understand what each dog needs. Tinkerbell would thrive with a person who is great at obedience training and teaching dogs tricks. If Tinkerbell could tell you what she would like, she would say she just wants her brother (Scooter) to chase her! She is very loving but independent. She likes to curl up on my husband's lap and snuggle into his arm at night. Because she is so active, she is ready for bed at 9pm. Her eyes will start weeping and she will let you know she wants to go into her kennel and go to sleep. These 2 are very special and will only go to a home that is as special as they are. We can give them a good home but we want them to have a great life!!
