Mitzi is taking medication for a heart murmur, according to her owner. Owner report: Mitzi is being boarded at her vet's office as her owner does not have a permanent place to live. Mitzi has been with her owner for 12 years, but due to the change in living situation, Mitzi is in need of a new home Mitzi is described as an indoor dog with the run of the house. She is house broken and leash trained. Mitzi knows the following commands 'Sit, Stay, Go for Walk, Ready to Eat, Want a Treat, Go for a Ride, Let's go Potty, Ready for Bed.' Mitzi's owner reports that she 'barks when the doorbell rings and around unfamiliar people but is not aggressive.' Mitzi is said to be good around adults and teenagers. According to her owner, Mitzi 'has been blind about a year and has adopted very well as I keep things in the same place and have a general routine. She can find her bed, bowls, water. She knows the direction to go depending on what I say to her, eg. Potty, Eat, etc.' 'Mitzi is still able to go for walks (not in direct sun and heat) and is able to go up steps without assistance. I use a leash when descending steps. She has a great demeanor and enjoys being petted. She likes to sleep during the day and sleeps through the night.'
