About Sage and Juniper

A month ago I found two 7-week-old kittens living under my porch, so I trapped them and began trying to socialize them. At first they were completely terrified, never having been handled by humans before. Little by little, I have gained their trust. Along the way, their mom joined them, so they've had the chance to get in a few more weeks of motherly love as they've grown. Sage, the boy with the white nose, has become the biggest lovebug, explorer, and play buddy. He's so outgoing and has boundless energy. His sister Juniper (black nose) is still very very shy, but she lets me pet her now during feedings and tentatively comes out near me to play or hang out. She will need several weeks to earn your trust, and she will need lots of hiding places. She may never be a lap cat, but she is sweet, curious, and playful in her own right. These two kittens must go together because of their unique circumstances, and they need someone who is patient and serious about working with them and making them a forever part of your family. They have been spayed and neutered, received their first round of shots (they need rabies still and distemper booster in a few weeks), and have been treated for mites and fleas and dewormed (they will need a follow up deworming in a couple weeks). FIV/leukemia negative. They would be best probably in a home without dogs, at least at first, as they grow more comfortable with indoor life. Indoor ONLY home -- they were rescued from the harsh life outdoors and will not be going back. A home visit, references, and $150 adoption fee (this partially covers their vetting and surgeries -- I have spent much more than that on them so this is a deal!) required.
