(DOB 5/14/21)�%A0 As a hound/terrier mix, Cricket is a sweet, smart, happy girl.�%A0 She has a little mousy nose and the cutest ears. For such a little girl, she lives her life to the fullest! She doesn't let anything hold her back and can play and snuggle for hours as long as you are giving her attention! She loves to play chase with other dogs, she adores toys and is always happy to greet her people.�%A0�%A0Because she is still a puppy, she likes to run and burn off energy, so we recommend a solid fenced yard for her to open up in. �%A0If no fenced yard, she needs an active family that is committed to walking her and playing with her regularly. Too much idle time can lead to mischief. Cricket is a smart cookie too. She is working on her sit command and pretty much has it down, but can be easily distracted and lose focus due to her age. She has a cute�%A0protective bark�%A0when she hears or sees someone or something she isn't familiar with which is nice if someone is approaching your home. It's an endearing trademark but doesn't make her a good apartment dog.�%A0 She is not good with cats since she likes to chase them. She likes to playfully chew since she is still young, so she will need a family ready to take on the puppy stages and keep her both entertained, using positive reinforcement training to build her social skills and boundaries.�%A0 She is working hard on her potty training.�%A0 She prefers to go outside,�%A0 but she hasn't figured out how to signal when she needs to go--we are so close. She is very good about going on the puppy pad indoors.�%A0 She has taken to the leash very easily, but she will still need leash training in her future.�%A0 All of these things are part of the fun of having a puppy and helping them learn.
