About Scrunchie

'Oh hello there, youngster. My name is Scrunchie and I am one seriously old gent that is looking for a furever home. I came to SVASC when my owner moved and couldn't take me; luckily, I didn't have to spend anytime there because one of the staff members and my foster mom took me home. According to my previous owner, I am an astonishing 19 years old! (But my foster mom says that I don't act a day over 14!) Despite being quite an old fella, I still have a lot of spunk and have been the highlight of my foster mamas life since coming home. I may be little and quite old, but don't let that fool ya! I'm a goofy, happy little guy and am really the life of the party, as long as the party ends by 7pm and I'm home in my jammies by 8. I still love to go for walks, enjoy car rides, and love nothing more than a good tummy rub. I am currently living with other dogs and cats in my foster home, but I gotta say, they're not really for me. I do get along with other dogs, but only if they're very calm. I just can't tolerate the shenanigans that come along with those younger dogs. Same goes for those pesky felines... I wouldn't hurt em none. Heck, I don't even have any teeth, but I don't really care for them and will just bark at them for hours. All in all, I am a very healthy old man with minimal concerns. I do have a mass on the back of my neck, but the vet says that it's actually a cyst related to something with my hair follicle and that given my age, we should just leave that be. I am also going a little bald (though my fur and skin looks SO much better since I got to my foster mom) and because of that, I get cold easy and can also get sunburnt if you're not careful. Additionally, I don't have many teeth and so I need a wet food diet. Lastly, I am not neutered and the vets don't think that that's a good idea at my age. Because of this, I will need to be adopted into Staunton, Waynesboro, or Augusta County only. My adoption fee is $125 to an approved adopter. I am currently waiting for a home with a foster, so I'm not at SVASC.
