About Chevelle

Help! We need to rehome our dog Chevelle. She is a good girl but she is very hyperactive and has a lot of anxiety. Being stuck in our small town home and it is just not the ideal home for her.She would do best in a home without cats or small children, we have had to gate everyone off because she will chase and lunge at the cats. My daughter (2) also makes her really nervous and anxious she has nipped her on several occasions and it was not provoked, the last time was in the face so she absolutely needs to be in a home without small children. This being said it has become too much to try and separate her from the cats and our small child in our tiny space. She does okay with strangers or people visiting the home, it is just kids that make her nervous. She is also dog reactive, she wasn't socialized with dogs prior to when we adopted her so she will act aggressive towards other dogs. We do love her and we have tried for the past year and half but it is just not working we do not want to risk our daughters safety, or other children as we have a lot of young nieces and nephews. On the other side of it we want for Chevelle to have the best life that she can have, where she can have room to run and be free to go outside whenever she needs. I really think if she was able to run and play and go outside when she wants it would significantly help her behavior but in our situation we just can't do that for her. I think she could use formal training too but due to the pandemic we have not been able to financially do that.
