About Delilah

LOOK AT THAT FACE! Delilah is an almost 2-year-old female that has been with us for 260 days. She was rescued from being tied to a tree with a chain with no food or water. Despite her neglectful past she is the most loving dog and wants to give you hugs. She actually hugs you! She will need an active household. She also prefers to be the only animal in the household. Delilah loves to play with her chew toys and go on long walks/runs. She walks well on the leash. Are you looking for a hugging dog? This is your girl! Delilah has a stocky build and weighs 70 lbs, she has been spayed, she has tested negative for heartworms, she is fully vaccinated, and she is microchipped. We are a rescue in Mississippi and we travel to NY and CT once a month with our pre-adopted pets and meet with the adopters at a predetermined time and location. We can be available for a video call for a virtual meet and greet after an application has been submitted. **We are not able to adopt animals to residents of MA, ME, and RI at this time. ** Rescue Me requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. **
