About Lady Elsa

Hi, My name is Lady Elsa. I am a big, beautiful Arctic Princess. The Rescue and Vet think I am about 2 years old. They have said I am a Husky mix (possible mixed Great Pyrenees). I had a gash on my neck, damaged to my left ear, but they are healing nicely. I had fleas and ticks all over me. I am blind in my left eye, from an old injury. Thankfully, the vet said my damaged eye does not need to be removed even though I can not see out of it. It does not effect me much at all. I am create trained. However, I don't like to go in the crate, I will if gently led there. My fosters say I don't bark much, but I do like to talk. They have nicknamed me, RooRoo. I was severally underweight, only 36lbs, when I got to my fosters house, but have put on a good amount of weight now. I still need to gain more weight and strength. I love having soft food added to my kibble at night. Sometimes, my foster mom will make an egg for me in the morning! Yummy! I love to be near my people and would like to sleep at the foot of your bed or at least near your bed. I currently sleep in the room with my 10 year human foster sibling. I listen well... most of the time. I am a gentle giant my foster Mom says. I have 3 foster siblings, one is a puppy, the other 2 are humans kids. I do great with the kids and puppy. I want to play with the puppy all the time, sometimes I just get a little too excited, plus she is so much smaller than I am. I am learning, what is okay and what is not. I love the neighbours dog. He is big like me, so we run and play. It is so much fun! I love to go for daily walks. I would love a running partner. I walk great on a leash, but do get a little excited when I see other dogs or small prey. I like to chase a ball, however not keen on the pool at my fosters house. I am a little wary of male visitors in the house. I will hug you if I find you interesting and you let. I need some who will give me lots of love. Someone who will not let me outside without staying outside with me, I might wonder off, jump your fence, or dig if is see something that perks my interest (like prey) if you are not around. I have tried to jump to the seen into the neighbours yard when I saw a squirrel go over the fence, but my foster mom said no... plus I don't have all my strength back yet. I am going to get me a squirrel one day when she or foster dad are not looking. I would like to be with a family who I can be with most of the time. I like children and cats. Again, I need lots love, care, and willingness to help me learn more. I hoping for some amazing people to love me, like my fosters and those who have rescued me. P.S. lots of pets and belly rubs are a must! I am spayed, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines and ready to join my forever family!
