About Jewels

This dog-friendly dog, Jewels is urgently looking for a new committed foster or better yet his forever family. Sadly, his current foster was unable to keep him any longer as she moved recently. Because of this, he is now in a boarding facility. Poor guy is sad as he misses being in a home surrounded with love. Jewels loves to be close to his people! He rarely goes anywhere without his favorite bone. He loves to go for car rides. He loves to snuggle on the couch for a good nap. Jewels is not an outside dog. He is an inside dog and apart of the family. He will bark to let you know when he has finished his business outside. He has never had an accident in the house. He loves all people of all ages. However, he does become very protective of his family and household. He is good with female dogs of all sizes. He gives male dogs a funny look. He can be trusted with cats but it will be a very slow introduction. He has learned to like the foster's kitty over time. They had a bird and he did not pay attention to the bird. He has been trained to sit, stay, down stay, speak, shake and sit when his meals are being served. He takes treats very easy and soft. He is a very smart boy. Jewels just wants to be with his family as much as possible!! He loves his humans very much!! He would love to go for walks or runs. He gets very excited for a walk. He loves to sleep under the covers with you and right next to you. He absolutely loves snuggling and going under the covers!! Jewels is not a big fan of the weekly visits from the garbage truck and he will bark at it, so do not open your door or your gate when the garbage truck is in the area because he would likely run after it, we are sure. He's also protective of his family and household when the UPS delivery person comes to the home. Jewels is a special dog. He is very loving and loyal and devoted to his family.
