About Soleil

Meet Soleil which means sunshine in French! Soleil was raised from a puppy in a family with children and other dogs. Sadly they had to move and could find no place to take their two large dogs. They reached out to rescue but no one responded. I was asked to help and offered to meet the dogs on the day before they were moving and had no choice left but to take them to a shelter. I knew neither would fare well in that environment and i do love the big dogs so i took them with me not knowing where i was putting them! Soleil is very sweet but naturally looked to her friend Gatsby for solace as he was all she had left. She is doing great however! Soleil is about 11-12 months old and around 75# and still growing. Soleil is a sweet girl but being still a pup, she is also in need of training! She can be a handful but truly wants to pleased and i feel would really excel in obedience training. Soleil is good with other dogs but best to be about her same size or bigger. I would say no cats for Soleil as she is a bit too interested in mine. I cant say that Soleil is housebroken for sure either although when surrendered they said she was. She has definitely had accidents in her crate but i also have way too many dogs and cannot be vigilant. She wants to please so i think refinement will come easy for her! A home with a big fenced in yard and another confident large dog who can teach Soleil the ropes would be the ideal home for Soleil! Overall Soleil is a wonderful girl and if someone just invested a little time into her training, she will make the most awesome friend and companion!
