About Zeus w/ cute underbite

Hi there! Zeus is my name, and 'happy play' is my game. I'm a salt and pepper 13-pound Shih Tzu mix fella with an adorable underbite who was born in August 2016. I'm an outgoing, affectionate, friendly, trusting, playful pooch who loves everyone and just wants to be loved back. Unfortunately, my first home was a disaster with zilch love: my family starved me and neglected my grooming so much that a family member exercised their temerity by snatching me out of my abusive situation. I was brought to Miss Donna, who fortunately owns a grooming salon. Nevertheless I'm humiliated that I don't look at all like I should! I was so severely matted that there was no alternative except to shave me completely. To make matters worse, the mats were so close to my skin that shaving them left sores all over my little body. However, I'm thinking positively, and hoping that you can visualize that my beautiful, luxuriously long, flowing, silky coat will grow back . . . eventually. Once I get a little length on my fur, I'll at least have that adorable 'puppy-cut' look. In the meantime, I'm still the same charming, true-blue companion on the inside, even if my exterior is not up to snuff. Some dogs live to dig holes and chase cats, but my idea of fun is sitting in your lap and acting adorable as you watch TV. As a small dog bred to spend most of our day inside royal Chinese palaces, we Shih Tzus make a great pet if you live in an apartment or lack a big backyard because we require minimal exercise. I'm a lively charmer, and being cute is a way of life for me. I'd probably get along great with most other pets and children over 10 who know enough to handle small dogs carefully. I hope you'll arrange to meet me today. I make friends easily and promise to be a devoted family member if you choose to take me home! Zeus is updated on shots, neutered, dewormed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully trained. His adoption fee is $250 for dogs older than 9 months. An application must be filled out prior to adoption.
