About Cooper

Cooper is a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix. He is athletic, well built, and extremely intelligent. He would make an amazing agility dog or running companion, and he loves hiking and playing at the dog park. At night he becomes a lap dog, ready to snuggle. He is house and crate trained, and he's up to date on all vaccinations. Sadly, he needs more stimulation than our young family can provide. He is good with most dogs, but should not be in a home with young children. Please contact us if you can give this sweet boy the active life he deserves. Update: Cooper got out of the backyard after an exterminator left the gate unlatched. He nipped a passerby, and Animal Control was notified. Given his drive to protect his property and our suburban neighborhood with small children, we made the incredibly difficult decision to surrender him to Animal Control. He is currently quarantined for 10 days. He will likely be available for adoption only by a rescue or an Animal Control staff member. Cooper would be an amazing dog in the right setting.
