Meet Brownie a 3 year old, 35lb, female, Belgian Malinois Mix. Brownie is fully vetted, altered, microchipped etc. She is awesome with all with children and people! Brownie came from the amazing Kabul Small Animal Rescue in Kabul, Afghanistan and we saved her alongside Mutt Mutt Engine. Brownie LOVES attention! She is crate-trained, housebroken and leash-trained. Brownie hates to make a mess in her crate! Brownie is one of our dogs that needs a home with no other pets. Brownie isn't reactive towards other animals until they come into her personal space bubble. She will not bark or growl until the animal passes through her bubble. She has been awesome with all humans! Brownie has a parasite called %BC Leishmaniasis. Leishmaniasis is a disease caused by the dog being bit by an infected sand fly in rural parts of the world such as Afghanistan. Brownies Leishmania was diagnosed by a small skin condition on her nose. The parasite is treated with a pill called allopurinol once a day for the rest of her life. As long as Brownie is given her pill once daily the Leishmaniasis shouldn't impact her or her health. Unfortunately Leishmaniasis never actually goes away so she will have to be on the pill for the rest of her life. Humans cannot get the parasite from animals.
