About Crusty

Meet Crusty! Crusty was named while in the VETTECH program because of his crusty skin. Of course beauty is skin deep and this is one very sweet boy��ժ He loves to play ball and knows basic commands! He is very smart and treat motivated. ���Behavior: 08/11/2021 - Dog was friendly on kennel approach. Allowed for the leash to be placed over head and walked out of the kennel. Walks on a leash well. Allowed for the exam and did great for the blood draw. Did growl when he was having his blood draw. Dog continued to wag his tail and did show any aggression. Suspect he was letting us know he was not fond of the blood draw. Did great for the restraint. Very sweet boy overall. Suspect he was bathed at vet tech. Idexx Heartworm Test: Positive. Starting Doxycycline for Inital HW treatment. Gave DAPPv SQ. Plan to market to rescue. ���VETTECH: Temperament in Program: Wild, energetic, needs training, will do well in active home, does well on leash, easily provoked. Problem list: Severe crusting over back half of dorsal aspect of skin, alopecia on back, tail, and both rear legs, severe exudate AU, tartar on molars. Fecal: Centrifuge = no parasites found.
