About Tater Tot & Pancake

Tater Tot is a sweet 2-year-old 8-pound chihuahua who loves going on walks, chasing squirrels in the backyard, and snuggling in bed with his people and his favorite friend, Pancake. He is a typical small chihuahua and likes to bark at strange new people in his house or on walks but has never threatened to bite and warms up to people very quickly. With training he has gotten less reactive on walks and will walk past new people without barking when tempted with the reward of cheese. In fact, Tater Tot will do almost anything for cheese. He is a sweet boy who loves to be held and curl into a ball on top of pillows. Tater Tot loves to sleep in bed with his humans and enjoys burrowing under blankets at night to stay warm. Tater is also happy to sleep in the kennel alongside Pancake, although neither dog is destructive if left out in the house overnight or during the day. Tater Tot is housetrained but does have accidents when he is not let outside on a consistent schedule. He would do best in a home where he can be let outside frequently and consistently. Pancake is a very playful 3-year-old 13-pound dachshund mix who loves snuggling in bed with her friend Tater Tot, playing with squeaky toys, and dragging around her fleece blankets. She is, however, quite nervous around new people and takes a couple days to warm up those she doesn't know. When feeling insecure or scared, she will bark and climb back into her crate. Once she has gotten comfortable around you, she will follow you around the house and climb into your lap the second you sit down. She does great on walks alongside Tater Tot and takes lots of naps throughout the day. Pancake would do best in a quiet home where there aren't new people coming and going frequently. If you are looking for a sweet dog that will wag her tail and jump up and down every time you come home, she's your girl. Pancake loves to sleep in bed with her humans and prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed snuggled into one of her fleece blankets. Pancake is also happy to sleep in the kennel alongside Tater, although neither dog is destructive if left out in the house overnight or during the day. Pancake is housetrained but does have accidents when she is not let outside on a consistent schedule. When she gets too excited, she tends to piddle if she hasn't been outside recently. She would do best in a home where he can be let outside frequently and consistently. Pancake & Tater Tot are a bonded pair who love to snuggle and play together. Both dogs would do best in a home where there aren't many new faces and where they can be let outside often. Once they have settled in, both dogs LOVE their people and will always be excited to see you. Neither dog has been tested around cats or children, but due to their nervousness around new people, we do not recommend a home with young children.
