Alex is an adult German Shepherd that was found tied up to a pole near a local police station. He was brought to a local shelter adapted as best as possible to his new situation. We are happy to announce that Alex is now with our program as of Sept 2. Alex is very shy but sweet when meeting new people. He has warmed up to our volunteers and he leans against us when waiting for a walk. Speaking of walks, Alex is gentle on the leash, but he does get nervous around loud sounds. He also likes to go for car rides. We are looking for someone who has experience with shy dogs. It will take any potential adopter or foster home a couple visits meeting and spending time with Alex. Alex can become spooked easily, but is submissive and not aggressive. Because he can be a flight risk, Alex hopped a low railing and was on his own adventure for a few days, we are also looking for an adopter with a secured fenced in back yard.
