Taeko means 'Brave' in Japanese and Taeko is the Braveheart of Sedona Shepherd. This formerly little guy came to us when he was about 4 months old after being turned into a scary city shelter all by himself. When we saw him in the shelter kennel, he was anxious to get out and away from other dogs and play with people. Taeko just loves to play and romp around. He is about 8 months old could spend all day chasing down toys and tennis balls and still be ready for a nice walk. After an active day, Taeko will settle down nicely. When he first came to us, Taeko was scared of other dogs and wanted to make sure they left him alone. But over the past 3 month working with his foster family and Canine Dimensions, Taeko now enjoys playing and chasing other dogs in a group setting. He is comfortable using a crate and is house trained so no accidents. He can still be a little mischievous so don't be leaving any shoes laying around. If you like going on long car rides, Taeko is willing to be your driving partner. Taeko would do best in a home without young children. Although he can play in a group setting, sometimes he is still leash reactive on walks. With the proper companion, he may be able to live with another dog. If you live in the following counties, Canine Dimensions will provide 3 free months of additional in-home dog training on an as needed basis: Morris, Essex, Union, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, and parts of Warren County.
