About Miles

Meet Miles! Miles is a cute 3-year-old, 16.14 pound Dachshund mix! Miles was originally found a little while ago as a stray with another dog, but the finder has been unable to locate an owner so she surrendered them to us. The two dogs are not bonded (and the other one is not ready for adoption yet) but Miles is friendly and outgoing and ready to go! He is very much a big puppy! He is happy and energetic, loves to run and play, and will need a good fenced yard so he can romp and do zoomies. He is going to have to have some good activity everyday to keep him happy! Another playful dog in the home would be fabulous for him, or kids, or a young family who likes to take their pet with them everywhere they go would be great for Miles! He is very loving and trusting, great with other dogs and have we mentioned...he loves to play! Miles is also very sweet and is a great cuddler. He really loves people and loves to go for walks and car rides with his person. At night he usually sleeps by his foster dad, but sometimes he will sleep on the sofa. Miles walks great on a leash, is doing well with his house training and knows how to use a doggy door. His foster dad says he requires a lot of attention and affection, but not because he is needy, just because he is so sweet and friendly! He won't be happy in a home where he doesn't have lots of playtime and interactions with his family. Miles has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. His neuter will be scheduled at one of our vet soon and is covered by the rescue.
