About Rusty

Rusty was a rescue pull from a high kill shelter in Georgia late 2014 hours before he was to be euthanized. He has been in the same home since January 2015. He was estimated to be between 1 and 2 years old in 2014 which would make him about 8 years old. Due to health issues of his current adopter's wife, Rusty now needs a new home to safely live out his senior years. I do not want to see him back in a kill shelter after all that's been done to save him. He is a mix we guess of Shepherd and Mastiff but we don't know. He is great with other dogs and children and he has has lived with both. Rusty is a good dog and knows basic commands. He would be best suited for a home with a fenced yard as in his younger days he was a runner. He has had minimal exposure to cats but with exposure he may be fine. He is potty trained, neutered and microchipped. He is between 70-80 lbs. He did have an inverted eyelid which is the reason his one eye looks cloudy.
