About Monty

Monty is in a foster home and here's what his foster mom has to say about him: 'Monty is a big easy going boy with a big heart and he should be in a home full of big kind-hearted people! This guy is one of the easiest dogs I have ever fostered; he's really sweet, greets everyone with an easy wag of the tail, a smile and paw shake. He is bright and doing extremely well with basic obedience training; sit, down, stay, come and go. He enjoys going for walks and has superb leash manners. He is perfect in the car and loves to go for rides; he prefers to lay in the back seat. He's been to the pet store several times and other big box stores. He's handsome and well-mannered and gets a lot of compliments. He's also the perfect dog park dog! He makes friends easily but isn't demanding. He is house broken and crate trained. He doesn't jump on people and seldom barks. Monty is an average to low energy dog but because he's still young, he will need regular exercise to maintain his gentle demeanor.' Monty is obviously in a wonderful foster home but he wants his very own forever home! Monty is approximately 1.5 yrs. old and weighs 85 lbs. We are looking for someone who will commit to taking Monty to doggie day care, dog parks, and/or obedience training classes. Also, because of his size, a home with children over the age of 10 will be best. No cats. Monty is neutered, current on vaccines, and microchipped.
