About Cappy

Captain, or Cappy as we call him, is a fantastic dog. He loves to cuddle all day with head scratches and tummy rubs, but if you want he'll hike the trails all day like a champ. House broken, somewhat leash trained, and absolutely loves his kennel. I will leave his kennel door open for him when I'm away and he'll either hang out on my bed or in his kennel with no issues. I've left him alone in the house for a total of six hours, nothing chewed up and no accidents. He's a gentle little puppy when it comes to my three kids but lets you know if someone is at the front door. The situation is that I travel for work, sometimes for more than a week. When we got Cappy I was married but recently divorced and I can no longer afford to care for him nor can I keep him boarded for that long. I don't want to find him a new home, but I don't have any more options and he deserves to have a good caring loving home that doesn't need to board him. I do believe that Cappy was abused as a young puppy, so he is very scared and timid of loud noises and gets very defensive with new people. Any new person has to be introduced slowly to him, but once he knows he's safe, then he is a big lap dog.
