I'm guessed to be a feist mix, which is a type of hunting dog...my foster mom says she doesn't think I was ever used as a hunter though, I don't have it in me. I'm about 4 years old, and I weigh just over 22lbs. I can be shy at first but once I trust you I am sweet as can be and just want to be next to you. My favorite game is fetch and I love to be walked. I'm not destructive when left alone so you don't have to worry about any of your furniture being chewed up. I sleep through the night and even sleep in with my human! I'm also very food motivated which makes training easy! I may be a small girl but I have a big heart with love to give. ��%90%BE What's so great about me? Let me just tell you, I (am): * house & crate trained * great listener * walk great on leash * wonderful companion dog * calm demeanor Won't you please give a sweet gal like me a chance? ��%90%BE (PLEASE NOTE: This dog tested positive for heartworm disease before arriving to the rescue. The disease was treated while in foster care. Heartworm disease is transmitted to a dog through a bite from an infected mosquito. With monthly preventatives, the disease is completely preventable. Amelia Bones is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. She is best in a home without dogs, is best in a home without cats, is best in a home without small children, and is not suitable in an apartment, condo or other urban setting. Amelia Bones is currently being fostered in Westminster, MD. All adult dogs, cats, and kittens are altered prior to adoption. Puppies too young to be altered at the time of adoption must be brought to our partner vet in Davidsonville, MD for spay or neuter paid for by Operation Paws for Homes by 6 months of age. Adopters may choose to have the procedure done at their own vet before 6 months of age and be reimbursed the amount that the rescue would pay our partner vet in Davidsonville. This dog's bio is based off the experiences of the foster and/or volunteers of OPH as well as any information that we received from the shelter or previous owner.
